March 19th is a special date in Italy as it is when Father's Day and Saint Joseph's Day are celebrated. You can find in a lot of places around the country the Zeppole di San Giuseppe, a traditional dessert that consists of a pastry filled with cream and black cherries and topped with sprinkling sugar. However, this pastry can be found accross Italy with other ingredients and even different names.

It is a delicious pastry to share with family for Father's Day.
